Our story

Ten years on the ground before becoming a group.

It all began in 2016, in Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou, with a brand of professional hair care products for salons: KUST. No fundraising, no distribution network bought in — sales rounds, in-salon demonstrations, hairdressers won over one by one, and a product standard that was never up for negotiation.

Ten years on, the brand has a community, a catalogue, a school and a club. Above all, it revealed what was missing around it. A salon protecting its profitability doesn’t buy the way a salon selling bespoke service does: another brand was needed, with another promise. A profession undergoing change needs training: an academy was needed, then a circle to extend the exchange. And a company shipping every day eventually discovers that logistics isn’t a side cost, but a trade in its own right.

It was this observation, repeated across three different subjects, that gave rise to the group. Hairmony Holding was established in 2024 to hold it all together: strategic and financial direction, shared support functions, and a doctrine we stand by — growth is financed by margin, not by debt.

What the holding company does

A holding company that serves its brands, not the other way round.

Hairmony is not a retail brand: no hairdresser buys ‘from Hairmony’. The holding company holds the shareholdings, the strategy, the financing and the functions that brands don’t each need to reinvent on their own.

Direction and decision-making

Setting the course, allocating resources, prioritising between projects, and the deliberate refusal to launch everything at once.

Finance and management

Forecasts, consolidated cash flow, banking relationships, management control, coordinated accounting across all companies.

Support functions

Legal, human resources, IT, systems security, brand and data protection.

Technology and data

The group's internal tools, technical assistants and artificial intelligence building blocks, developed once and served to every brand.

The group's companies

Each company has its own trade, its own clientele and its own voice.

They don’t resemble one another, and that’s deliberate. A premium brand and an affordable brand don’t speak the same way ; blurring the two would mean disappointing both clienteles.

Our commitments

What we hold ourselves to.

Fair pricing, explained. We do not practise loss-leader pricing followed by a silent increase. When a price changes, the reason is given. When a brand is cheaper, we explain where the saving comes from — and where it doesn’t.

Training before the sale. A poorly used product is a wasted product. Our courses, our technical content and our assistants exist so that the technique succeeds in the salon, even when it triggers no order at all.

Logistics restraint. Our parcels are prepared by hand, packed with cardboard chosen for its contents, with no unnecessary empty space. Less breakage, fewer returns, less repeat transport: here, ecology and economy say the same thing.

Independence. The group is owned by its founding family. This imposes a healthy discipline: we only commit to what we can sustain.
